Touching upon the YES campaign for the referendum for constitutional amendments and the government’s policy during a press conference today, psychologist Mihrdat Madatyan told reporters that if the incumbent government was legitimate, it should have gained more supporters over the past two years.
“This so-called ‘referendum’ should have been held smoothly, but as we can see, the authorities see serious risks. Interestingly, they say the people demanded these constitutional amendments, but it seems as though the Prime Minister is so worried that he has started handing out booklets, and this is illegal.
Touching upon the fact that the Prime Minister handed out booklets in metro wagons, Madatyan stated that he wouldn’t refer to this as democracy. According to him, today, the authorities don’t know who they’re fighting against and what they’re fighting for.
