During the revolution, the people rejected the authorities, and not just Serzh Sargsyan, but the entire system, including the legislature, the government and the judiciary. This is what leader of Republic Party Aram Z. Sargsyan stated in his speech during the YES campaign for the constitutional referendum in the city of Kajaran of Syunik Province today.

According to him, the people rejected the legislative and executive powers, and now the people are rejecting the judicial power. He stated that the referendum is very important since elections are no longer falsified and that all votes will be counted.

“I don’t see who is against this referendum, but the more I think about it, the more it becomes clear that the people against this constitutional referendum are former presidents Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan. If they aren’t, let them come and tell me I’m wrong. They’re against the constitutional referendum because the current Constitution provides the previous primary figures with the immunity to solve political issues. They have the opportunity to tell the people why they’re against the referendum, but they’re not using that opportunity,” he emphasized, adding that he’s going to say YES to the referendum so that his children don’t face the same problems with the Constitutional Court that he has faced in the past.
