YEREVAN. – The coronavirus will not go unnoticed for Armenia’s economy, as this phenomenon has hit not only oil prices, but also tourism. Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan said this in a conversation with journalists.

According to him, ensuring the health and safety of the population is of prime importance for the Armenian government in connection with the spread of coronavirus. "It is still early to make economic assessments," he added. "When the potential damage is prevented—in terms of health—and there will be confidence that there is no risk, then it will only be possible to calculate the economic impact and ways of mitigating the consequences."
