The first coronavirus death was confirmed in Austria’s Vienna on Thursday, Vienna’s administration reported.

The deceased is a 69-year-old man who had earlier been to Italy. A man was also suffering from other diseases. 

The number of confirmed cases in Austria has reached 302. Cases were recorded in all nine Austrian regions, TASS reported.

Austria announced a ban on March 10 on major public events until April amid the coronavirus outbreak.
