The former authorities are constantly trying to intimidate the people with war, sexual minorities and the loss of identity, and now they’ll start intimidating the people with the coronavirus. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated in his speech at the campaign in Areni today.

“They’re trying to save themselves by intimidating the people, but we’re telling the people to not be afraid. The people have to go and say they’re not afraid by voting during the constitutional referendum on April 5,” Pashinyan declared.

According to him, the other issue on the agenda is the issue of the opposition. “A lot of people say there is no opposition to the incumbent authorities and the authorities haven’t determined who the opposition is. This is another phenomenon of the third republic that began in 1998 when the authorities were creating an opposition for them and started to mislead the people with that opposition. Our government says it isn’t going to be creating an opposition for itself because the people create the real opposition. We’re the government of the people, but we were the opposition of the people before we became the government,” the Prime Minister declared.
