Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis warned that the EU faced an “asymmetric threat” on its land and sea borders after Turkey opened doors migrants to move freely to Europe, Ekathimerini reported. 

Mitsotakis accused Turkey of using migrants as pawns against Greece and the EU.

According to him, the recent wave of tension that caused thousands of migrants to enter the buffer zone on the Turkish-Greek border is not just a migration issue, but a national security issue.

The Greek PM also called for the proportional distribution of refugees to other European states.
