YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a meeting to discuss the measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus in Armenia.

Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan noted that 6 people have been infected with coronavirus in the country, 5 of them feel well and have no serious symptoms, and one person has pneumonia, but no deterioration of health has been reported. The minister noted that steps have been taken to find out and quarantine the circle of persons who have had contact with the persons who are infected with coronavirus.

The Minister of Health added that the state has no shortage of medicines and medical supplies, and there is also a required amount of stored face masks.

Torosyan informed that the compatriots who quarantined since March 1 will be tested today, and the results are very likely to be negative; that is, they will not be diagnosed with coronavirus.

During the consultation, the participants discussed the sectoral activities and further steps in the fight against coronavirus.

"We are following the developments on an hourly basis," PM Pashinyan said, in particular. "The biggest issue for us is not just making decisions, but making those decisions maximally effective."

He added that the best way to prevent the spread of coronavirus is everyone's individual awareness and responsibility.

The Prime Minister urged people to follow solely official information.

Also, Pashinyan gave instructions to those in charge of the respective domains on future courses of actions.
