During a live broadcast on Facebook, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said Armenia needs to take stricter measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and called on avoiding visiting theaters and concert halls and said there must not be any plays or concerts starting tomorrow.

“Today I held phone talks with the Prime Minister of Georgia, and we agreed to restrict the movement of people for 10 days. Only citizens of Armenia can travel from Georgia to Armenia, and only citizens of Georgia can travel from Armenia to Georgia. We won’t let citizens of third countries travel in any direction. However, cargo will continue to be transported freely,” Pashinyan said and added that he is reporting all news and called on everyone to rely on official news. “This is very important in order for us to not spread gossip or panic. The most effective method is each person’s responsibility for his or her circle and himself or herself. A person has to see a doctor in case of any symptom,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
