According to the decree of the President of Kazakhstan, a state of emergency is declared in the country as of Monday at 8am to ensure the safety of the population of Kazakhstan and prevent the spread of novel coronavirus in the country. The state of emergency will be in effect until April 15 at 7am, the Armenian Foreign Ministry informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

From March 16, foreigners, including Armenian citizens, will be temporarily restricted entry to Kazakhstan by all means of transport, whereas exit from Kazakhstan will not be restricted to Armenian citizens returning to Armenia.

This restriction, however, shall not apply to stateless persons and to foreigners of the following categories: staff of the diplomatic service of Kazakhstan and foreign states and members of their families; members of delegations of foreign states and international organizations traveling to Kazakhstan at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan; persons having the right of residence in Kazakhstan; and foreigners who are family members of citizens of Kazakhstan.
