The Lithuanian government decided on Monday to declare quarantine in the country to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Armenian MFA reported.

The restrictions outlined in the decision include: a ban on the entry of foreigners into Lithuania, except Lithuanian citizens and members of their families; persons supplying essential goods to Lithuania; cargo shippers; persons who have a house and work in Lithuania; diplomats and representatives of NATO military missions.

This decision will also reduce the number of checkpoints on the border with Lithuania. The activities of shops, cafes, medical facilities, intercity vehicles, buses, as well as educational institutions will also be limited. Government officials and private sector representatives are encouraged to work from home.
