- Armenia government has adopted a decision on declaring a state of emergency. The draft decision was adopted with some amendments and forwarded to the National Assembly.
At the very beginning of the government’s special meeting after the recess, presenting these changes, Justice Minister Rustam Badasyan said that the start of the state of emergency was set for 6:30 pm on Monday, March 16, and the end on April 14.
As reported earlier, 30 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Armenia.
- Jeanne Barseghian of Armenian origin has won the first round of Strasbourg municipal elections held on Sunday, France Info reported.
Jeanne Barseghian comes first with 27.67%.
Police officers, however, rendered assistance to him, and then transferred him to a police station.
When asked by reporters why he took such a drastic step, the man said the judges were not working properly. "They want to sell my property by public auction," he said.
- Armenia's second president Robert Kocharyan continues to receive inpatient treatment at Erebouni Medical Center, Kocharyan's lawyer Hovhannes Khudoyan told this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He added that, at present, a matter of postponing Tuesday’s court hearing on the criminal case against Kocharyan and several other former senior officials is not on the agenda.
