YEREVAN. – Slump in oil prices has a negative impact on Russia economy, and will have an impact of Armenia’s export potential as well as the volume of remittances, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan said during a special session of the Armenian parliament on Monday.

“However, the fuel is supposed to go down cheaper and there will be a reduction in the cost of production of agricultural units. One is the problem, the other is opportunity. That is, products that were not competitive in some markets can become competitive. For example, one of the countries of interest to us is the $35 billion worth agricultural market that emerged due to coronavirus this year,” he said.  

The government is divided into two parts with some officials dealing with coronavirus prevention, and others dealing with economic issues.
