YEREVAN. – The financial market situation is stable, our financial system is very strong, very stable, especially given that our foreign currency reserves have reached a record level. . Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on Facebook live Tuesday, adding that the Central Bank has also bought and stocked an unprecedented amount of foreign currency.

Referring to Armenia’s economic policy, the Prime Minister said: "We do not want to make very hasty steps here because, first, I also said at the National Assembly yesterday that I am against the logic of economic benefits. We should not give the economy a social allowance that will weaken it, but put a development plan at the base of every cent being spent. We need to be convinced that as a result of each and every assistance, these businesses will become more competitive, stronger.

According to the results of 2018-2019, Armenia has accumulated great economic potential to realize an economic restart, to start the economic revolution from scratch. Of course, this potential will be used to get us out of this situation with a stronger economy. The only nuance is that we have to make decisions that are discussed, strategic, in depth."

Nikol Pashinyan added that in the near future they will present their strategy and approach toward how to assist Armenia’s economy in order to make it come out a winner in the long run. "Our plan is already outlined, ready in terms of perception. We just want to make sure we are more convinced that we are making the right decisions, and then share the information with the public."
