Cargo transportation between the two countries is carried out without interruption based on the agreement reached between the governments of Armenia and Georgia, said Armenian MFA spokesperson Anna Naghdalyan.
But, despite the MFA calls to return to Armenia by air, there are currently Armenian citizens on the Russian sides of the Upper Lars checkpoint who want to cross the Russian-Georgian border, she said.
Because of the adverse weather conditions, the road will be closed until the decision of the Georgian government to ban the entry of foreigners into Georgia comes into force, and the MFA urges citizens to return to the place of departure and return to the homeland by air.
We urge our citizens to soberly assess the situation, she said.
