YEREVAN. – The Armenian government will support economy by providing at least 150 billion drams, PM Nikol Pashinyan said in an interview with Shant television.

The support will be carried out in several stages, 25 billion will be allocated during the first stage.

“We want to take measures to support not only business, but also specific people. Let’s take companies that will take out loans from Armenian banks, will pay wages to their employees, will fulfill their tax obligations and will pay utility bills. The government will co-finance 50 percent of this loan with a zero interest rate. And the percentage of the bank’s segment will be subsidized,” he explained.
