The world is entering a new era amid the coronavirus pandemic that could lead to global and radical changes, said Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan.

According to him, the changes will be seen in the economic, political and social order.

Turkey is carefully monitoring the situation over the coronavirus, taking urgent measures against the spread of the disease, he said. The state has mobilized all the possibilities for the speedy elimination of the coronavirus spread, NTV reported referring to Erdogan.

According to the Turkish president, Western countries have not taken care of their citizens for years, transferring basic public services to the private sector, TASS said.

Turkey has confirmed the first coronavirus case on March 10. The patient is a local resident who has returned from Europe.

According to the country’s health ministry, the total number of coronavirus cases in Turkey is 191 and the death toll has reached at least two.
