Spain’s Deputy PM Carmen Calvo has been hospitalized with suspected coronavirus, Reuters reported. 

"The deputy Prime Minister went to a hospital yesterday afternoon and after medical tests were carried out doctors decided she had to remain there to receive treatment for a respiratory infection," the government said in a statement on Monday.

As of March 23, 33,089 cases of infection were recorded in Spain. The death toll has reached 2,182.
