Turkish interior minister Suleyman Soylu said on Sunday that he would resign after the introduction of the 48-hour curfew, Daily Sabah reported.
"All responsibility regarding the implementation of the curfew lies on me," he said regarding the incident.
Accordign to him, the failure to timely announce the curfew was not in line with Turkey's ongoing fight against the novel coronavirus.
