The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan has instituted criminal proceedings against senior officials.

According to Azerbaijani media, representatives of the heads of regions are accused of misappropriating social aid allocated by the state and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to poor families, as well as of illegally issuing travel certificates during the quarantine.

Criminal cases were instituted against them.
