YEREVAN. – I feel obliged to use this opportunity and once again request to all our compatriots, calling for the observance of all the rules of social distancing. Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian mentioned this at the beginning of his meeting with education expert Anahit Bakhshyan.

"I don't want any of our compatriots to think that if ten or less people die [of coronavirus] every day [in the country], this can be considered a normal life; this is not an ordinary life; this is a huge tragedy. (…). We must definitely be very careful, very principled and disciplined. Let's do everything required from us—and more," the President added.

Also, Sarkissian thanked the healthcare workers for their hard and dedicated work. "We need to treat hospitals as the 'bastions, fortresses,' of health," he added, in particular.
