In his speech during the session of the Council of Heads of Governments of CIS countries held through a video call today, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan stated that the Armenian side is sharply against the use of the platform of the CIS to impose the unilateral notions of the Azerbaijani side, which distorts the nature of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but we are compelled to state this.

“The Armenian side affirms its commitment for exclusively peaceful settlement of conflicts in accordance with the principles of international law and within the scope of the agreed format which is aimed at easing tension and restoring the atmosphere of peaceful coexistence.

In this regard, once again, I would like to remind our Azerbaijani colleagues that the institution of co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group serves as the only format vested with the mandate of the international community for settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. I would also like to remind and reaffirm our fundamental position that only rejection of maximalist positions and a constructive approach hinged on the willingness for mutual concessions will help us move forward and achieve a settlement of the conflict,” he particularly stated.
