YEREVAN. – We can't afford a strict quarantine; we just can't. Deputy speaker of the National Assembly (NA), Alen Simonyan, stated this in a talk with journalists in the NA Thursday, referring to the ongoing fight against COVID-19 in Armenia.
"For a long time now, the choice will put a person in a very extreme position, financially, and again will put in a, extreme position in terms of the illness; it’s in making a decision between a rock and a hard place. We can't impose strict restrictions," he added.
As for the demands for the resignation of Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, Simonyan stressed as follows, in particular: "I believe we don’t have the right to talk about such topic today."
