Holding of protests can’t be allowed while the coronavirus pandemic is spreading. This is what head of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Lilit Makunts declared during a special session of the National Assembly today.

Makunts noted that the regime of state of emergency implies certain restrictions, and each and every citizen must observe those restrictions.

As far as political statements and demands are concerned, according to Makunts, even though there is no ban on them, the opposition “has only one political agenda which is not appropriate in these conditions”.

She also claimed that everyone must unite during the fight against the coronavirus.
