Russian FM Sergei Lavrov and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit Turkey on Sunday to hold consultations on regional issues, TASS reported referring to Russian MFA.

“Under the agreements reached between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Russian Foreign and Defense Ministers Lavrov and Shoigu will arrive in Turkey on June 14 at the head of the Russian interagency delegation to hold consultations on regional issues of mutual interest,” the ministry noted.

Turkish and Russian president held phone talks on June 10 and discussed a settlement in Syria and Libya, as well as the restoration of bilateral cooperation amid an improvement in the epidemiological situation in the world.
