Iran has recorded 113 COVID-19 new deaths in a day, IRNA reported.
Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said Monday that the death toll in Iran has reached 8,950.
According to her, 2,449 COVID-19 new cases were found over the past 24 hours, some 824 of whom have been hospitalized.
She noted that a total of 189,876 cases have been reported and 150,590 people have been discharged from hospital or have recovered.
In the meantime, 2,765 COVID-19 patients are in critical conditions and being treated in intensive care units. As she noted, 1,269,194 tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
