YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes: Early in the morning of June 14, a search was carried out at the house of Ishkhan Zakaryan, the former chairman of the Audit Chamber, and then he was questioned at the National Security Service.
Zhoghovurd daily has learned that Zakaryan's weapons and related documents were confiscated during the search, as his weapons were legal and the documents proving them were available.
According to the information we received from the law enforcement agencies, those documents were taken to be checked, and the reason for questioning Zakaryan was that he was the head of the PAP [Prosperous Armenia Party] headquarters during the parliamentary elections held in 2017.
However, according to our information, when Zakaryan was asked during the questioning what he knew about the cases of vote buying, the former chairman of the Audit Chamber did not inform anything, saying that he had no information and could not inform anything about the mechanism of vote buying.
