YEREVAN. – I appeal to the people. All this started when we organized a sitting of the PAP political board, and looking at the situation—social, political, economic, industrial, agricultural, healthcare—and fully presented what there is. Parliamentary opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) leader, MP, and business tycoon Gagik Tsarukyan mentioned this in his speech in the National Assembly Tuesday, during the parliament debates on the prosecutor general’s petitions to strip him of his parliamentary immunity, launch criminal proceedings against him, and take him into custody.

"I ask the parliament to take a full step into real life today. The promises were made two years ago. People were listening to what they needed to hear, and everything is a lie, empty, there is nothing  made-up. What was done has been destroyed, has failed," he added.

Tsarukyan recalled that he had announced from the first day that he stood with the new authorities. "Yes, I gave the [needed] one-third [vote], [PM Nikol] Pashinyan invited [me], I signed the memorandum. I wanted to support all issues so that something changes in the people, the people's expectations become a reality. But you can't rule a country with lies, (…), fakes, Facebook," the PAP leader added.
