YEREVAN. – Hraparak daily writes: The PAP [Prosperous Armenia Party] is not going to give up, various scenarios of fight against the halls of power are being discussed, including they will submit to the NA [National Assembly] a bill to express no confidence in the Prosecutor General.

This process is regulated by the NA Rules of Procedure law, and the NA factions have such a right. However, the decision to dismiss the Prosecutor General is made by secret ballot by at least three-fifths of the total number of votes cast by the MP; that is, by the vote of 79 MPs.

The PAP knows that even if the [opposition] BAP [Bright Armenia Party] [faction in the NA] does not join the operation to remove the prosecutor, they [the PAP] will benefit from it, revealing the true face of the authorities, especially of the opposition, who support the prosecutor appointed by [ex-President] Serzh Sargsyan, [and] who agreed to become a tool also in [PM Nikol] Pashinyan's hands.
