The Supreme Judicial Council of Armenia postponed the discussion on the motion to subject Judge Alexander Azaryan to disciplinary liability.
After the break, President of the Council Ruben Vardazaryan informed that member of the Council Sergey Chichoyan can’t attend the session since one of his relatives has health problems.
Vardazaryan asked if the Council can continue the session without Chichoyan, to which Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan gave an affirmative answer, but lawyer Tigran Atanesyan stated that Chichoyan’s attendance is important for him.
The session was postponed and scheduled for June 25 at 2:10 p.m.
The reason for institution of disciplinary liability is the statement that Judge Azaryan made during the closed-door trial over the pre-trial measure against owner of Channel 5 TV Armen Tavadyan.
