According to Pastinfo, a short while ago, Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan of the Criminal Court of Appeal met with members of the Supreme Judicial Council to discuss the created situation.

Earlier, member of the Council Grigor Bekmezyan had told Pastinfo that the Council is meeting with Arsen Nikoghosyan to discuss the campaign that has been launched against him after the decision that he rendered yesterday.

On June 18, the Criminal Court of Appeal, under the chairmanship of Judge Arsen Nikoghosyan, upheld the appeals filed by attorneys Aram Vardevanyan and Hovhannes Khudoyan regarding the pre-trial measure for second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, and partially upheld the appeal of Ruben Sahakyan. The Criminal Court of Appeal partially overturned the decision of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction based on which Robert Kocharyan will be released on bail for AMD 2,000,000,000 after transferring the money to the court’s account for deposits.
