Facebook user, former employee of the General Department of Civil Aviation Hasmik Manukyan has posted the following on her Facebook page:

“I would also like to share a story from the inglorious past of Nikol Pashinyan.

Nikol Pashinyan extorted funds from the General Department of Civil Aviation through blackmail and managed to make sure his newspapers were purchased and placed in airplanes.

Let me start from the beginning. In 1999-2001, I was working for the General Department of Civil Aviation. Those years were difficult, the government was trying to regulate the sector, but there was a newspaper that would target the Department and publish dirty lies, and would even write bad things about the high-quality planes that were being obtained, saying those plans were bad and worn out.

After reading some similar articles, the Department addressed the newspaper’s editorial office for clarification and refutation, but it was told that the owner of the newspaper was dealing with the issue, and the owner was Nikol.

To put it shortly, after all this, the Department would give Nikol a $300 bribe every month (at the time, this was a tremendous amount of money, and Nikol, through blackmail, managed to make sure his newspaper was sold and distributed to passengers on planes).

This is the reality, and now my heart explodes when I see how this obscene and lying scoundrel presents himself as a saint.

Nikol, you are the first robber and corrupt official.”
