On April 3, 2020, to protect his honor and dignity from a public offense, Gevorg Grigoryan applied to the court with a claim against Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Commandant for the state of emergency Tigran Avinyan’s wife, Mariam Pahlavuni, as reported Hraparak.am.

The claim was filed after Hraparak newspaper released an article in which Mariam Pahlavuni had said that everyone knows to whom Gevorg Grigoryan belongs.

As for Gevorg Grigoryan, he demanded that the Commandant apologize on behalf of his wife, and after he didn’t receive an apology, he applied to court.

On April 20, Judge G. Torosyan of the Yerevan court of general jurisdiction returned Grigoryan’s statement of claim since the attached documents were incomplete. However, after filling out the required documents, the claim was accepted, and the judge upheld the motion of Grigoryan’s attorney to impose attachment on the property belonging to Mariam Pahlavuni in the amount of AMD 1,000,000.

The date of the trial hasn’t been set yet.
