Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on the occasion of his birth anniversary. The message reads as follows, in part:

“Armenia is a traditional partner for China. In recent years, the Armenian-Chinese relations maintain a positive dynamic for development, political contacts have become closer, practical cooperation is deepening.

From the moment the coronavirus pandemic erupted, China and Armenia have been steadily supporting each other and overcoming difficulties through joint efforts which fully reflects the deep friendship of the peoples of the two countries.

I attach the utmost importance to the development of the Armenian-Chinese relations and I am ready together with you to make joint efforts so that our bilateral ties yield great results for the benefit of our countries and peoples.”
