YEREVAN. – Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan has been isolated due to contact with a person infected with COVID-19. Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, said this in response to a query by Armenpress.

"Gabriel Balayan had contact with an infected person and that is why he was isolated, has no symptoms, is feeling well, and continues to perform most of his functions through remote communication," Stepanyan said.

She added that Balayan had been tested for the coronavirus a few days ago, and the result was negative.
