Media restrictions have been lifted during the state of emergency in Armenia for the sake of freedom of speech, said Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyn on Thursday at the parliament adding that however, COVID-19 fake news has appeared after the decision.

According to him, the authors and sponsors of such fake news do not care that people can die by negligence. 

“The more people die, the more these people will have the opportunity to criticize the government,” Pashinyan noted.

Armenian confirmed Thursday 771 COVID-19 new cases bringing the total number to 22,488.
