YEREVAN. – Fewer deaths were reported in Armenia in March-May this year than in 2018 and 2019. Shushan Doydoyan, head of the Freedom of Information Center, wrote about this on her Facebook page, presenting those indicators.

"Comparison of the total number of deaths registered in March-May 2018, 2019 and 2020 shows a startling picture. March-May 2018—6,403 deaths; March-May 2019—6,841 deaths; March-May 2020—6,546 deaths.

The coronavirus did not at all increase the total number of deaths [in Armenia] this year compared to last year. Moreover, 295 more deaths were reported last year than this year (March-May),” Doydoyan wrote, in particular.
