Iran has 262,173 COVID-19 cases, IRNA reported referring to a spokeswoman for the country's health ministry, Sima Sadat Lari.

According to her, 179 more Iranians have died of COVID-19 over the past day bringing the total deaths to 13,211.

A total of 2,521 COVID-19 new cases have been reported, some 1,820 of whom have been hospitalized.

And 225,270 Iranians have already recovered and discharged from the hospitals. The spokeswoman noted that 3,389 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.
