France condemns the armed clashes on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, RIA Novosti reported referring to a statement by the representative of the country's MFA.

According to the statement, France condemns the armed clashes that took place from Sunday on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and led to the deaths of several people. It calls on both sides to respect the ceasefire and resume dialogue to avoid escalation.

As co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, France, along with its Russian and American partners, confirms its commitment to resolving the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in accordance with international law, the representative of the MFA said.
