A Turkish court ruled that the leader of the opposition People's Republican Party (CHP) Kemal Kilicdaroglu must pay President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his family 359,000 Turkish lira (about $ 52,000) in compensation. 

The opposition leader accused Erdogan of transferring money to offshore accounts.

In a 2017 speech to parliament, Kilicdaroglu said the president's close circle handled multimillion-dollar traffic through an offshore company in the Isle of Man, and later also provided receipts for transfers.

Erdogan, however, accused Kilicdaroglu of lying, saying that five people got money because they sold their existing companies.
