The civil defense in the borderline settlements of Tavush Province today was unique compared to civil defense over the past 30 years in that civilians were defending themselves from unmanned aerial vehicles during the second half of the day. This is what Governor of Tavush Province of Armenia Hayk Chobanyan told reporters today, adding that this was new because the whole province was targeted.

“Today was a rather difficult day. The borderline Tavush village and Berd city of Tavush Province were being shelled since morning. The civilians organized the defense well, and this is the reason why we were able to protect ourselves and avoid the negative consequences, but unfortunately, a resident was wounded in Chinari village in the afternoon,” he said, adding that, fortunately, the province ensured total protection and managed to avoid casualties.
