YEREVAN. – A pensioner died in an accident in Armenia’s capital.

Arshak Matevosyan, 36, run over 64-year-old Ararat Janoyan in one of Yerevan streets on Friday night and fled the location. An old man died at the scene.

The driver of Volkswagen Passat was followed by officers of road police and was later brought to police department, photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

It was revealed Arshak Matevosyan who is working in one of revenue committee’s departments as a tax officer was drunk.
