Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan today introduced newly appointed chairman of the Military-Industrial Committee, Lieutenant-General Artak Davtyan, who was the former chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia.

Arshakyan congratulated Davtyan on his appointment, emphasized the success of the latest technologies that companies of the Armenian military-industrial complex designed recently and the professional application of the resources by the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. Arshakyan added that one of the priorities of the Government of Armenia is cooperation for the creation of technological solutions that will be provided to the Armed Forces of Armenia to achieve significant results in the defense sector.

“Recently, you worked hard for the development of the military-industrial complex as chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. I hope the activities are summed up quickly under your leadership and we have the opportunity to present the results to the Government soon,” Arshakyan said.

Davtyan expressed gratitude and stated that during his service, he has worked with and is well aware of the sector-specific activities, especially with regard to the orders presented by the Armed Forces. He highlighted the professionalism of the Committee and expressed certainty that more progress will be made through combined efforts.
