The expert group of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the National Assembly of Armenia has issued the following statement:

“We would like to express our concern about the situation created in certain food markets in Moscow and the area near Moscow where the managers of those markets have been leading a discriminatory policy against agricultural products exported from Armenia to the Russian Federation.

We would like to draw the attention of our colleagues within the legislative bodies of the Russian Federation to the fact that one of the four freedoms of the Eurasian Economic Union — free transfer of goods and services in the territories of member states of the Eurasian Economic Union — is violated by these actions (Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, 29 May 2014).

Once again, we express our concern and hope that measures will be taken to ensure free transfer of agricultural products exported by Armenia in the territory of the Russian Federation.”
