Iran has confirmed 2,414 COVID-19 new cases, bringing the total number to 276,202, health ministry's spokesperson Sima Sadat Lari noted.

At the same time, the number of recovered has reached at least 240,087.

The death toll has reached 14,405.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said earlier the country is experiencing the COVID-19 second wave, which began in mid-June. He also added that up to 35 million Iranians could become infected with the COVID-19 in the coming months.
