The young man who died in the car accident in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province is Narek Hovhannisyan, who was an accused-on-trial under the case of the gunshots fired in the city of Gavar and invasion of the local hospital.
On April 28, at around 5:40 p.m., gunshots were heard in the vicinity of Gavar State University, after which two people died and four were transferred to the local hospital with bodily injuries. Afterwards, citizens barged into the hospital, slit the throats of the citizens who had been transferred to the hospital after the shootings and destroyed everything in the hospital.
As a result, a group of young people were arrested, and one of those young people was Narek Hovhannisyan. The latter remained under custody for two months. Nearly 287 citizens of Noradus village had organized a petition to not extend his arrest for another two months and release him, and on June 29, the court released him. A month later, he died from a car accident. Was this a coincidence, or a premeditated car accident? The investigation will show.
