The Armenian government allocated Thursday AMD 25 million to the administration of the Tavush province to compensate for the damage caused to the residents of the border communities damaged from the shooting.

According to preliminary estimates, at least AMD 150 million will be needed to compensate for the damages.

"A working group for inventory and assessment has been created, which works in settlements with the involvement of local construction opportunities, including citizens who have not left for work," the draft government decree says. "It is proposed to set aside a portion of the amount in advance for an early start of work, which will also have an important moral role until a full assessment is made. The real volumes are much higher."
