Head of Arinj village of Kotayk Province of Armenia Gagik Sargsyan has submitted a resignation letter to the village’s Council of Elders, which recorded the resignation during a special session and addressed the governor of Kotayk Province in the manner prescribed by law, as reported the regional governor’s office of Kotayk Province.

According to the legislation, the regional governor will appoint an acting head of the village until the special election.

Gagik Sargsyan had been head of Arinj village since 2002.
