The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry shifted responsibility for the tension in the region onto Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The corresponding statement was made by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesperson Leyla Abdullayeva following Pashinyan's speech at a government meeting on Thursday.

According to her, the views voiced by Pashinyan at this meeting are another blow to the negotiation process, mediated by the OSCE Minsk Group.

Meanwhile, Nikol Pashinyan's statements in terms of influencing the negotiation process cannot even be compared in form and content with the statements made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The least that can be cited as an example of the Armenophobia propagated personally by Aliyev, the reproach addressed to his own officials and the opposition that they are "worse than the Armenians."
