The bill of the US State Department on the budget for the fiscal year for 2021 contains a clear wording - Nagorno-Karabakh, the head of the My Step parliamentary faction Lilit Makunts wrote on her Facebook.

The bill should be approved in the Senate and submitted to the President for signature.

According to her, after the decision of the US Department of State to stop funding for mine clearance in Artsakh, the Armenian Embassy in the US carried out active work in the Congress and the administration to continue appropriate funding.

"Special thanks to our colleagues from the Commission on Armenian Issues in the US Congress for their consistent work," she added.

The US House has passed the Artsakh aid amendment, the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) reported.

The Artsakh amendment calls for $1.4 million in US aid for the continuing life-saving de-mining efforts of The HALO Trust.
