Over 250 thousand COVID-19 patients in Iran have recovered since the beginning of the pandemic, said the country's health ministry spokesperson Sadat Lari.

On the air of the IRINN TV channel, she noted that in the past day, 2,316 COVID-19 new cases were detected, 195 people died.

The total number of people infected since February 19, when the authorities first announced the COIVD-19 cases, reached 288,839, the death toll is 15,484.
